The Aggies could not complete the series sweep, but the offensive output was very encouraging. However, the starting pitching in game three left a ton to be desired. Coach Shloss too often this season had to pull his starter before the fourth inning and that just eats into his ability to use relievers to his best advantage. This game had early runs and free bases to Missouri’s benefit en route to a game three victory over Texas A&M.
Missouri (22-13, 5-10 SEC) put Texas A&M (22-14,7-8 SEC) in a hole early by hitting two home runs in the opening frame for a 4-0 lead. The Aggie offensive cut the lead in half off a two-run home run by Trevor Warner bringing him and Jack Moss across home plate. Then another Warner homer in the bottom of the third brought the Aggies within one run with a score of 4-3.

Justin Lamkin started the fourth inning but would get pulled for Will Johnston after giving up a free run on a loaded base walk. Johnston would make it out of the inning but not without giving two more runs. The Tigers extended their lead to 7-3 after an inning where they technically had no hits but gained three runs.
Moss hit a solo shot in the fifth, then Missouri backdoored with a two-run homer in the sixth for a 9-4 score going into the seventh where the Aggies once again gave Missouri another run on a bases-loaded walk. A Tigers double later in the same inning gave them a 13-4 lead late in the game. Freshman phenom Jace LaViolette went yard over the left field fence for a score of 13-5.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Aggie fans were hoping for a little Olsen Magic and another nine-run inning like in the first two games. Instead, what they got was a strikeout, and Kaeden Kent hit into a double play to end the game.
Final Score: Aggies 5, Roadrunners 13 – W: Troesser, Austin (3-2); L: Lambert, Carson (1-1)
Final: Missouri 13, Texas A&M 5
