The Brooklyn Nets once again had a strong presence on the Game of Zones, with Kyrie Irving taking on a prominent role in the third episode of season seven.
In “The Long Episode,” the Nets point guard leads the other notable players who were snubbed during the Knights of the Round Ball selection process by the Maesters of the Mediadel. Fellow Net Kevin Durant and a cast of notable NBA players — Russell Westbrook, Jimmy Butler, Carmelo Anthony, DeMarcus Cousins and Draymond Green — meet with Irving to plot their revenge on the Mediadel. (Although, Durant wasn’t snubbed. It was noted in episode two he wasn’t selected to represent The Realm because of his injury.)
The meeting of frustrated players was set in Brooklyn — with a medieval spin, of course — and featured nods to the Nets’ days in New Jersey.

The episode even featured a swamp dragon, giving a nod to the change the franchise nearly made and ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported on back in 2016.
