Texas A&M put on a pitching clinic against Prairie View A&M on Tuesday allowing no hits as they run-ruled the Panthers 12-0 through five innings. Emily Leavitt and Emiley Kennedy combined for six strikeouts and only allowed a few walks. They likely would have hit double digits strikeouts but the Aggies bats were connecting early and often with six runs in the first inning alone. Then they scored another six runs between the third and fourth innings sending everyone home early for win number 30 on the year.
Coach Ford talked about the no-hitter after the game:
“E-squared. It was a good game coming off the weekend. I wanted to get them some bullpen work but with live batter, so I knew going in that Leavitt was going to throw for two innings and Kennedy was going to throw the next innings. I’m happy with what we did today.”
Texas A&M will be back in action when they host Missouri in a three-game series starting on April 28th.
