Texas A&M avoids the midweek loss and breaks their five-game losing streak with a come-from-behind victory over Tarleton. It took the Aggies eight innings to get their first lead of the game and almost gave it back up in the bottom of the ninth. However, after a close double play was reviewed the call stood in the Aggies’ favor ending the game 6-5 in a nail-biter of a final inning.
Coach Schlossnagle talks about the defensive side of the ball:
“Good defense. This time last year, Bost couldn’t turn that double play. He did a nice job with it. Trevor didn’t have great at-bats. He hit hard to right field and had a sac fly. He didn’t have very many good at-bats after that, but he played great defense. There are a lot of ways to help your team win a game.”
Texas A&M will host No. 4 Florida in a three-game series at Blue Bell Park starting on May 5th.
