Florida basketball hit a snag in the schedule recently after starting the season with a perfect 6-0 record in November. Since the calendar flipped to December, the Gators have limped to a 1-2 record, including a stunning loss to previously winless Texas Southern that put a huge dent in the team’s tournament aspirations.
Fortunately, the Orange and Blue bounced back in its most recent matchup with the North Florida Ospreys, though the team still showed some cracks in its armor that need to be addressed. Today, they face the Maryland Terrapins, who enter the game with a 5-4 record (0-1 Big Ten) having lost three in a row. According to the NET rankings, UF currently stands at No. 44 while UM is way down at No. 157.
On Sunday morning, the Tipico Sportsbook favored the Gators by 4.5-points over the Terrapins while the over/under is set at 136.5. The money lines for Florida and Maryland are minus-230 and plus-180, respectively, as of 10 a.m. EST.
Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. EST on Sunday inside the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York. The game will be broadcast by the Big Ten Network, livestreamed on the Fox Sports app and can be heard on the Gators IMG Sports Network.
