North Carolina commit Ian Jackson is one of two five-star recruits who are committed to the program in the 2024 class. It’s a 2024 class that has three commitments and is ranked No. 2 overall.
With Jackson arriving next Summer, the recruit is already making a bold prediction for his time at North Carolina.
In the debut episode of Shake Squad Media’s “Captain Jack: The Ian Jackson Experience”, Jackson looks at the camera and tells fans that he’s going to North Carolina to win a national title and then he’s out.
“I’m going to tell you what’s going to happen,” Ian Jackson said to the cameraman while sitting alongside teammates via All Tar Heels. “I’m going to go UNC. We’re going to win a natty. And I’m out of there. That’s the plan. Natty first. Remember, I called it.”

While the Tar Heels are looking to turn things around this year and get back to the NCAA Tournament, the future looks good. That’s in large part due to this 2024 recruiting class with two five-star recruits and a four-star recruit committed.
Hubert Davis and his staff are hoping to build on that class for the 2025 cycle and set the foundation for the program.
