The Denver Nuggets on Tuesday became the first team in NBA history to overcome two 3-1 series deficits in the same postseason after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference Finals.
The defeat completed a shocking collapse by the Clippers, who entered the season as one of the favorites to win the NBA championship. Instead of the Battle of Los Angeles to decide which team goes to the NBA Finals, it will be the Nuggets challenging the Lakers.
The Lakers enter the Western Conference as the heavy favorites to beat the Nuggets. According to BetMGM, the Lakers are -715 in the series while the Nuggets are currently +500. The Nuggets will face a Lakers team that figures to be well-rested after last playing on Saturday.
