The Oklahoma City Thunder continue a five-game road trip when they face the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. It’s the second matchup of the season between the two squads.
The Thunder (52-22) could be without arguably their two best players. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad contusion) and Jalen Williams (ankle sprain) are questionable.
After making his return from a two-game absence, Gilgeous-Alexander apparently continues to be hobbled by the quad contusion.
Ousmane Dieng, Lindy Waters III, Keyontae Johnson, Olivier Sarr and Adam Flagler are out; all are on G League assignments as the OKC Blue compete in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Sixers (40-35) could be without their two best players. Joel Embiid (meniscus procedure) is out, but he is inching closer to a return following a lengthy absence.
Tyrese Maxey (hip tightness) is questionable. Robert Covington (knee bone bruise) and De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine bone stress) are out.
Ricky Council IV, Terquavion Smith and Jeff Dowtin Jr. are on G League assignments.
This will be the first night of a road back-to-back for the Thunder. In their last contest, they escaped with an exciting win over the New York Knicks on Sunday. Gilgeous-Alexander hit a game-winner and Williams scored 33 points.
Meanwhile, the Sixers picked up a much-needed win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday to snap a three-game lose streak.
Tipoff from Philadelphia is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
