The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to take on the New York Knicks on Sunday. It’s the start of a season-high five-game road trip for OKC.
The Thunder (51-22) will likely be without their MVP candidate for a third consecutive contest. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad contusion) is doubtful.
Ousmane Dieng (G League assignment) is out. Lindy Waters III (G League assignment) is out. Keyontae Johnson (G League two-way) is out. Olivier Sarr (G League two-way) is out. Adam Flagler (G League two-way) is out.
Meanwhile, the Knicks (44-29) could be without their leading shot blocker who recently returned from a lengthy absence. Mitchell Robinson (ankle sprain) is questionable.
Julius Randle (dislocated shoulder) is out. OG Anunoby (elbow injury management) is out. Isaiah Hartenstein (wrist sprain) is probable. Alex Burks (shoulder sprain) is probable.
In their last matchup, the Thunder didn’t need Gilgeous-Alexander in a blowout win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday. Josh Giddey recorded 23-points and flirted with a triple-double.
Meanwhile, the Knicks suffered an overtime loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. Jalen Brunson scored 61 points, and Victor Wembanyama had a 40-point and 20-rebound double-double.
This is the final matchup of the season between the Thunder and Knicks. In their first outing, OKC won on Dec. 27.
The tip from New York is set for 6 p.m. CT
