After opening the season with two games on the road, the Philadelphia 76ers will return home to take on the Portland Trail Blazers in their home opener. This will be the second night of a back-to-back after the Sixers defeated the Toronto Raptors on the road on Saturday.
The Sixers played those first two games of the season without James Harden, who is still looking for his trade request to be fulfilled. After Harden was away from the team due to a personal matter, coach Nick Nurse told him to not travel with the team, which wanted him to ramp his activity back up.
Harden will remain out against the Trail Blazers due to return to competition conditioning. Joining Harden on the injury report is Joel Embiid who is questionable for what is being called “rest.”

Embiid had a terrific night in Toronto. He scored 34 points on 14-for-21 shooting with nine assists and eight rebounds. He played 35:21 in Toronto and it appears the Sixers want to limit his early workload.
Tip off from the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
