OLB Carl Nassib's one-year deal with the Bucs is a VSB (veteran salary benefit) contract — $1.035 million base salary and $152,500 signing bonus, only counts $1.05 million against the cap. Another value signing to add depth to pass rush.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bolstered their pass rush Tuesday by bringing back a familiar face, signing veteran free agent Carl Nassib to a one-year deal.
Nassib’s new contract is defined as a “veteran salary benefit” contract, and will only count $1.05 million against the Bucs’ salary cap, per The Athletic’s Greg Auman.
During his previous two-year stint in Tampa Bay, Nassib tallied 12.5 of his 22 career sacks. He now rejoins the Bucs to help provide experienced depth on the edge of the defensive front alongside Shaq Barrett, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and Anthony Nelson.
