[autotag]Front Row Motorsports[/autotag] has been slowly growing as a NASCAR Cup Series organization, and the hard work paid off in August 2023. Michael McDowell held off a hard-charging Chase Elliott to earn the win at the Indianapolis Road Course. It was the first non-superspeedway or weather-shortened victory for the organization. Now, the team is taking another step toward success.
According to McDowell’s crew chief, Travis Peterson, on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, Front Row Motorsports will have a technical alliance with Team Penske for the 2024 season. Team Penske has won the last two Cup Series championships while Front Row Motorsports moves on from RFK Racing, which has been the organization’s partner since 2016.
This is a major move as they join Wood Brothers Racing in an alliance with Team Penske. The Ford camp has only improved over the last two years, and Front Row Motorsports has slowly become a playoff-caliber organization. With another year of the NextGen car under their belt, there should be optimism that an alliance with Team Penske will further push the program toward success.
