Friday practice updates: Rockets wrap up Louisiana portion of training camp

With open practice Sunday in Houston, the #Rockets wrapped up the Lake Charles portion of their 2023-24 training camp on Friday. “The effort was great, the focus was great,” Ime Udoka says.

Since Tuesday, Oct. 3, the Houston Rockets have held their training camp at McNeese State University’s Legacy Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Friday, however, was the last of four practice days at McNeese State. The Rockets headed back to Houston later in the day. Up next, they have Sunday’s open practice with fans and Tuesday’s preseason opener at Toyota Center versus the Indiana Pacers.

“It went well,” Udoka said. “The effort was great, the focus was great. I’ve never really gone away for training camp, so I think it’s a good thing to get guys locked in and focused for four days. It’s been nice to get away. Then we’ll go back (to Houston) and prepare for games.”
