Penn State freshman running back Nick Singleton scores his first NIL endorsement

The buzz continues to be rising for Penn State freshman running back [autotag]Nick Singleton[/autotag] as the 2022 season draws near. The most decorated running back to ever be recruited by Penn State is certainly a player to watch as the Nittany Lions attempt to revive their running game in 2022, and Singleton is already capitalizing on the new age of college athletics with a brand new name, image, and likeness endorsement deal.

On Thursday night, West Shore Home announced a multi-year endorsement deal with Singleton. The home remodeling company

“We are thrilled to partner with Nick Singleton. As an athlete and role model, he embodies many of our core values at West Shore Home,” West Shore Home CEO B.J. Werzyn said in a released statement. “He excels not only on the football field, but academically and in the community.”

In the same released statement, Singleton said he is proud to be partnering with a company from his home state of Pennsylvania.

“I’m honored to not only be a part of the Nittany Lion nation, but a teammate of West Shore Home,” Singleton said in a released statement. “So many of the company’s core values embody what I strive for each day. This includes being an exceptional teammate, being great at whatever we do and getting better every single day. As a Pennsylvania native, I am thrilled to partner with a company from my home state and I look forward starting the season.”

This marks the first major endorsement deal for a member of the Penn State football program in the age of NIL in collegiate athletics. Other players have benefitted from endorsement deals, but this appears to be the first significant endorsement deal that has been signed by a Penn State player.

Terms of the endorsement deal are not available at this time. On3 calculates Singleton’s NIL value to be around $45,000 before the season starts with the expectation that value will rise as Singleton officially begins his football career at Penn State.
