The Texas Longhorns defense will need to be on their toes when they face off against Kansas State.
The Wildcats have one of the best young running backs in the Big 12 Conference and oddly enough he is drawing comparisons to another KSU back. Chris “Deuce” Vaughn has been a focal point of their offense and some find him very reminiscent of former Wildcat Darren Sproles. Both coming in under 5’8″. Vaughn is listed at 5’5″ while Sproles was listed at 5’7″. Both players considered being lightning bugs for the offense.
Sproles finished with just under 5,000 yards rushing and 5,588 yards from scrimmage. This doesn’t even factor in what he did as a return man. Vaughn has a ways to go but in his freshman season, he is off to a good start. He will match up with fellow freshman running back Bijan Robinson in the tale of the tape.

Edge: Deuce Vaughn
The Kansas State Wildcats have had an up and down season. After opening up conference play on a four-game win streak they have dropped the last four. The last one in heartbreaking fashion, much like Texas. However, unlike Texas, it appears the Kansas State coaching staff knows how to incorporate their star players.
Vaughn is being used in a similar way that many believe Bijan should be featured in this offense. Vaughn sees a minimum of 15 touches per game while it has fluctuated for Robinson. The Texas defense will be tasked once again with slowing down a rushing threat on Saturday.
