A big win against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday undoubtedly had the Iowa Hawkeyes riding high and feeling confident after their best show yet.
That could have led to a sluggish performance against the Wisconsin Badgers or even turned into a trap game with a big game at Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend.
Rather than fall victim to that, the Hawkeyes came out and demolished the Badgers, 96-50, to complete the season sweep of the Big Ten rival. The Hawkeyes started a tad slowly; they led 21-16 in the second quarter.
The margin ballooned to 46-28 before halftime, and Iowa never looked back. Here are some takeaways from the strong home performance that looked exactly like what a title contender is supposed to do on its homecourt in a game it should routinely win.
