The Baltimore Ravens have had to make some tough decisions when it comes to their roster over the past few days. They’ve seen a few of their players leave for other opportunities while also having to release or trade a few of their key contributors for cap savings.
One of the players that Baltimore has moved on from in the last few weeks is Pro Bowl defensive lineman Calais Campbell, who was released by the team. On Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that Campbell is planning to meet with the Atlanta Falcons over the course of the week, potentially ending any chances of having the veteran return to the Ravens.
The #Falcons are planning to host veteran DL Calais Campbell on a free-agent visit this week, sources say. Campbell was recently released by the #Ravens, who kept the door open for his return. But in the meantime, the 15-year veteran will meet with Atlanta. pic.twitter.com/BdxUOBFSfx
