One certainty for Muniz is that he won’t return as a full-time driver for Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Menards Series. Now, the 38-year-old competitor is teasing an appearance at Daytona International Speedway in February.
In a recent Instagram post, Muniz said, “See y’all in Daytona Feb 17th,” with a picture of him standing beside a race car. It appears that Muniz will be racing at Daytona on February 17th, which would either be in the ARCA Menards Series or NASCAR Xfinity Series. It would be his Xfinity Series debut if he went in that direction.

Muniz was wearing a Ford sweatshirt in the post, so it would likely be for an organization backed by the manufacturer. There aren’t many openings for Ford among the bigger teams in the Xfinity Series, but it’s impossible to rule out any of the mid to small-tier teams. The NASCAR community awaits Muniz’s announcement, which could create serious buzz in Daytona.
