Frankie Luvu is having a Pro Bowl season for the Washington Commanders. The 28-year-old entered Sunday’s regular-season finale with 90 tackles, including 11 for loss and eight sacks. He’s arguably been Washington’s top defensive player.
In the third quarter of the Week 18 game vs. the Cowboys, Luvu injured his shoulder. He remained down on the field before he was helped off.
The Commanders announced that Luvu was questionable to return.

Washington entered the game already shorthanded at linebacker with Jordan Magee ruled inactive. Magee was listed on Friday’s final injury as questionable with a hamstring injury.
After missing a couple of series, Luvu did return to the game. Washington’s already struggling defense could not afford an injury to Luvu.
