Frank Vogel says Lakers didn’t play their best despite 8th straight road win

The Los Angeles Lakers got their 8th straight road win but their head coach Frank Vogel doesn’t think they played their best.

The Los Angeles Lakers held off a valiant effort from the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night as they used a late rally to pull out a 113-106 win, to push L.A. to their 8th straight road win. The Lakers are now 8-0 on the road this season and with a win over the Bucks, they probably have notched their best road win of the young season. And yet, their coach Frank Vogel believes they can do a lot better than they showed on Thursday.

Following last night’s win, Vogel still believes the Lakers have another level or two to get to still, imploring the Lakers to play better.

So, what could the Lakers coach be talking about after a game in which LeBron scored a season-high 34 points? For starters, the Bucks were the more physical team throughout Thursday night’s game. Whether it was Giannis, Jrue Holiday, or someone else, the Bucks often worked from the post and tried to use their strength as an advantage. Milwaukee outrebounded the Lakers 46-38 on the night, which likely didn’t make Vogel happy, despite the fact they escaped with the win.
