The Italian Grand Prix weekend is among us, and it’s time for Formula 1’s annual trip to the Temple of Speed.
F1 is racing at Monza this weekend for the next round of the 2023 Formula 1 Championship. It could be a landmark race for Max Verstappen, as he has the ability to set the record for the number of consecutive races won that he has currently tied with former Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel. It should be an interesting race, as numerous teams have showcased strong straight-line speed across the year.
The most notable event across the first two free practices that took place on Friday came in FP2, when Red Bull driver Sergio Perez crashed his car and sent it into the barrier, damaging his back wing. Verstappen led the first session, while Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz topped the second session later in the day.
