Fourth Gator accepts 2025 Hula Bowl invite, declares for NFL draft

Trikweze Bridges will join three other Gators in the Hula Bowl and will also be entering the NFL draft.

A fourth member of the 2024 Florida football team has accepted his invitation to the 2025 Hula Bowl in Orlando on Jan. 11 and will also be entering the NFL draft.

Redshirt senior defensive back [autotag]Trikweze Bridge[/autotag], who transferred from the Oregon Ducks last offseason, announced on social media Wednesday that he will participate in this year’s edition of the professional scouting event. His post quoted Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

He also notes in the announcement his intent to enter the NFL draft after thanking his coaches and teammates.

Bridge appeared in all 12 regular-season games while starting the last seven in the secondary — three at safety, four at corner. He led the team with 69 tackles (37 solo, one for a loss) while also adding six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one interception for a 72.1 PFF grade.

The prolific defender also played in the Gasparilla Bowl against the Tulane Green Wave, recording a tackle and an interception in the win. He joins wide receivers Elijhah Badger and Chimere Dike along with running back Montrell Johnson Jr. in representing the Gators in the Hula Bowl.
