Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies coaching staff are looking to add one of the top quarterbacks to the 2026 class. Fisch and quarterbacks coach Jimmie Dougherty have offered 12 signal callers in the 2026 cycle and have yet to earn a commitment, with seven prospects already announcing their college choices.
On October 8, they have another opportunity to reel in a talented prospect as four-star Helaman Casuga is set to announce his college choice. The product of Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, is ranked as the nation’s No. 13 quarterback and No. 181 overall player in the 2026 class by 247Sports.
He’ll be choosing between his top eight schools, which includes Washington, among the likes of Auburn, Nebraska, Texas A&M, USC, and others. According to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, there may be a leader for his services.
Coach Mike Elko and Texas A&M Aggies seem to have a significant lead for Casuga, receiving 97 percent of the predictions.
Casuga is built in the prototypical mold of a lot of Fisch’s other quarterback products, including Noah Fifita, Demond Williams Jr., and 2025 commits Dash Beierly and Treston Kini McMillan. If the Huskies can find a way to secure his services, he adds another slightly undersized yet strong-armed dual-threat quarterback.
