The UNC football program is off to a solid start for the 2024 recruiting class, despite missing on a few priority recruits, most notably at the quarterback position.
Quarterback targets Jake Merklinger, Jadyn Davis and Daniel Kaelin committed to other programs. While UNC has missed on those three, it has a chance to land another quarterback high on its list.
Four-star prospect KJ Jackson posted that he plans to announce on Sunday. However, it doesn’t look UNC they will land this commitment either.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are the favorites in this recruitment. Arkansas holds four crystal ball projections on 247Sports.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound quarterback from Alabama is ranked No. 391 nationally, No. 24 among quarterbacks and No. 23 in the state per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
UNC has nine commits in the 2024 class and ranks No. 10 overall.
