Auburn offered four-star tight end [autotag]Dylan Messman[/autotag] a scholarship on Jan. 14 and is now one of his top 10 schools.
The Saline, Michigan, native announced a top 10 of Auburn, Michigan State, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Duke, Kentucky, and Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon.
Mesman is the No. 309 overall player and No. 17 tight end in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2024 recruiting class. He is the No. 8 player from Michigan.
The Tigers have already brought in one tight end since Hugh Freeze was named head coach in FIU transfer Ricardo Fairweather but are still looking for their first high school commitment.
It will be tough for Freeze and tight ends coach [autotag]Ben Aigamaua[/autotag] to land Mesman. The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder has taken two visits to Michigan State and the Spartans are the recipient of his lone crystal ball on 247Sports.
