Four-star safety Ladarian Clardy narrowed down his impressive offer list on Saturday from 43 to 10 and Jedd Fisch’s Washington Huskies made the cut. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound product of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida is looking to announce his decision before his senior season and the Huskies could be on the shortlist from his top 10 to secure his commitment.
The nation’s No. 15 safety has developed a strong relationship with position coach Vinnie Sunseri and took an official visit to Seattle in early May.
“Coach Sunseri checks up on me and my family every other day,” Clardy told TTJH Sports in April. “I told him I’m big on relationships and that’s what stands out to me. He’s been reaching out to me, checking up on me, and just showing me that he wants me.”
Of the schools on his list, Florida State and Ole Miss appear to be the frontrunners, as he’s received crystal balls to both programs by various 247Sports insiders. Along with Washington, Clardy also took official visits to Mississippi State and UCF, and is set to take a trip to Miami on July 27.
All signs point towards Clardy staying in the Southeast, but Sunseri’s relationship with him could keep the Huskies in the running.
