Auburn was able to flip four-star defensive end [autotag]Keldric Faulk[/autotag] from Florida State in the 11th hour of the 2023 cycle thanks to an extra push from [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag].
This time around, they hope to land his brother in a more timely manner.
Four-star linebacker [autotag]JaKaleb Faulk[/autotag], younger brother of Keldric, visited Auburn for Big Cat Weekend and is closing in on making his college decision. He tells Caleb Jones of Auburn Rivals that he will be committing on Monday, Aug. 21. Alongside Auburn, Faulk is considering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Clemson.
Family is important to Faulk, and he wants to play in a program that exhibits that type of atmosphere.
“I’m looking for people that want to bond with you,” Faulk said in an interview with Rivals. “People that’s really about family. People that want to support you every day and the people that want to make you a better person off the field and a better player on the field.”
Did Auburn check those boxes over the weekend?
“The way Coach Freeze jumped in the pool and all (after Perry Thompson’s commitment),” Faulk said. “The way he bonded with the new commits, the way he talked to them, it was just a little different. It just had a different feeling today.”
Faulk is the No. 12 EDGE from the 2025 class and is the No. 11 overall prospect from the state of Alabama. According to 247Sports, Auburn is the frontrunner at the moment with two crystal ball predictions. On3 has given Auburn a slight edge with a 25.4% chance to land him, with Florida and Clemson in the shadows.
