Four-star forward Derrion Reid offered by USC

Andy Enfield is looking ahead to Big Ten basketball, even as he prepares for a huge season in November.

Derrion Reid is a 6-7, 205-pound forward/wing prospect. He is ranked as the No. 15 basketball player in the 2024 class by ESPN. He has a long list of NCAA Division I offers, including North Carolina, Oklahoma, Xavier, Kansas State, Florida State, Texas, Providence, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina, to name a few.

Add USC to that list for the Augusta (Georgia) native who just transferred to Prolific Prep (California). Reid is now going to school for his senior season in Napa, California, close to USC.

Reid had a No. 26 national ranking from Rivals, with 247Sports listing him at No. 40. In On3’s industry rankings, which compare the four primary recruiting services, he came in at No. 32 overall.

Reid averaged 17.9 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the floor and 42.3 percent from 3-point range last season.

Reid talked on his recruitment to On3:

“I want to commit before my high school season,” Derrion Reid said. “My mom is big on school, so education will be big for me. I want to study business and entrepreneurship. Location won’t really matter to me, but I will look at the playing style. I want to know the coaching like the back of my hand and have a good understanding with them. I’ll want to go somewhere I can make an immediate impact but still get better every day.”
