The Florida football program is off to a hot start when it comes to recruiting the class of 2025 and the team just sent an offer to one of the top defensive backs in the nation.
Four-star safety [autotag]Amari Wallace[/autotag] took some time to visit the Florida campus during junior day three Saturdays ago and now has a scholarship offer on the table from the Gators.
Wallace talked with reporters at Swamp247 to detail his recent visit to Gainesville and what he went over while hanging with Gators defensive backs coach Will Harris.
“Coach Will Harris, I went up there Jan. 20 and we had a good communication, we were in the film room breaking down film,” Wallace said. “I was telling him some of the stuff he does there we do at Central, and when I get to a college facility, I’ll already be ahead of the game.”
Wallace was also blown away by the non-athletic aspects of Florida, taking a tour of campus and realizing how education takes a high spot on the priority list for student-athletes.
“I thought they were all about school and education first, because without education, you won’t be nothing inside the world right now, because some people, they say Florida Gators may not be an educational school, but they showed me,” Wallace said. “They have over 200 tutors who will help you with your work, and with anything you need, they’ll help you.”
Wallace is a four-star safety from Miami, Florida, ranking at No. 45 overall, according to 247Sports, and is ranked at No. 7 for safeties across the nation.
