The Washington Huskies are looking to establish a quarterback pipeline under coach Jedd Fisch. Freshman Demond Williams is the heavy favorite to win the job next season, with promising backups Dash Beierly and Treston Kini McMillan both committed in the 2025 class.
That hasn’t deterred Fisch, offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll, and the entire Washington coaching staff from pursuing many of the top prospects in the 2026 class.
One of those recruits is four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal, who cut his list of offers from 29 to 10 earlier this week, and then from 10 down to 5 on Friday including the Huskies among the Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Oklahoma Sooners as his finalists.
Ranked as the nation’s No. 91 overall prospect and No. 6 quarterback by 247Sports, O’Neal tallied 2,475 passing yards and 27 touchdowns during his sophomore season at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California and appears to have a destination in mind.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Williams has received a handful of crystal ball predictions to choose coach Brent Venables and the Sooners.
Even though it’s very early, the Huskies are off to a good start in 2026 and already have two commits in the class, running back Ansu Sanoe and kicker CJ Wallace.
