There’s a short list of recruits in the 2025 class that have an offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels. And while Myers Park standout Sadiq White doesn’t have one yet, an offer appears to be looming.
North Carolina recently watched White play on the AAU circuit and is interested in the in-state recruit. He has a handful of offers so far including from Florida State, LSU, Illinois, NC State, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama among others. He’s also drawing interest from programs like UNC, Duke, Arizona and Kentucky.
The 6-foot-7, 170-pound recruit recently caught up with Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan to talk about his recruitment and specifically UNC’s involvement. Here’s part of what he had to say about the Tar Heels:
“They said they like my game a lot but want to see me improve with my jump shot,” White said. “They want me to keep developing, getting stronger and getting aggressive. I’m nowhere near a finished product and I know I have to improve in a lot of areas. So I like that they took the time to watch me and I take their opinion very seriously.”
North Carolina has kept tabs on White, contacting him as soon as the period opened up and then watched him on the AAU circuit last weekend.
It feels like just a matter of time before the official offer is extended.
