Four things to know ahead of LSU’s pivotal matchup with Auburn

LSU travels to take on Auburn as the Tigers seek their second straight win and third of the season.

The LSU Tigers (2-2) travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday to face the 3-2 Auburn Tigers and look to stay in the win column after a dominant 52-24 victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

LSU has the slight edge over Auburn, with the odds slightly in its favor, while Auburn hopes to snap a three-game losing streak to the Bayou Bengals.

Here are four things to know before Saturday’s matchup.

LSU starting left tackle Dare Rosenthal suspended

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron announced on Monday that starting left tackle Dare Rosenthal was indefinitely suspended from the team.

The suspension places Cameron Wire, a freshman, into the starting rotation this week. Though he has dealt with some injuries, Wire is expected to play.

In the instance that he cannot play on Saturday, Charles Turner will start at the position.
