Big 12 rivalry revisited

A game we have not seen in over a decade. The Oklahoma Sooners host a former conference rival, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. These two teams last met in 2010, that game was the Big 12 Championship. The Sooners won on that day, 23-20. Oklahoma went on to play in the Fiesta Bowl and finish the season 12-2.

The Cornhuskers are a shell of their former selves in that they have one conference championship game appearance since 2010. That came back in 2012, they lost 70-31 to the Wisconsin Badgers. Nebraska is one of those programs that make college football better when they are good.

Despite the fact that they finished 3-5 last year, this is still a good game for Oklahoma since their only nonconference game last year came against Missouri State. This will be a much bigger tune-up game for the Sooners. Can Nebraska stay in this game? When they opened against the Ohio State Buckeyes last season, they were rolled 52-17.

Will the Sooners see the Iowa State Cyclones twice in a three-week span?
