Four takeaways from LSU’s 44-34 loss to Mississippi State

LSU had issues on both sides of the ball during Saturday’s 44-34 loss to Mississippi State. But Myles Brennan rebounded after a slow start.

2. Ground game must improve.

One key aspect of the offense that never broke out on Saturday was the rushing attack. Chris Curry ran the ball nine times for 47 yards. Tyrion Davis-Price carried the ball 11 times for 43 yards and John Emery Jr. ran seven times for 27 yards.

If the Tigers are going to be better on offense, the rushing attack has to come alive starting next week when the Tigers take on Vanderbilt.
