Abu Dhabi is the last race for Formula 1 in 2024, and McLaren will lead the field to the green flag. [autotag]Landon Norris[/autotag] won the pole for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit this weekend. Oscar Piastri will join Norris on the front row for Sunday morning’s event. It is Norris’ eighth pole position of the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Lance Stroll, Kevin Magnussen, Lewis Hamilton, Jack Doohan, Alexander Albon, and Charles Leclerc all qualified 11th or worse for Sunday’s event. This occurred as Formula 1 had an intense and fun three-round session.
