It was a dream come true in a way for Graham Glasgow.

Not only did the former walk-on at the University of Michigan get to be on scholarship in his final seasons in Ann Arbor, but he got to stay in town, after he was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third-round of the 2016 NFL Draft. A native of Aurora (IL), it was a big jump from not being on the 85-man scholarship roster when he arrived on the college campus to being an NFL Draft pick and starting guard in the professional ranks.

However, the Detroit Lions did not re-sign Glasgow, and he became a free agent on Monday. And thus, he said goodbye to the region he spent eight-plus years in, as he signed a hefty contract with the Denver Broncos.

Despite the Lions passing him up, Glasgow had multiple suitors, including the New York Jets, according to one post.
