The Kentucky Wildcats have a lot of former players getting recognition for their play at the NBA level. On Tuesday, Oscar Tshiebwe received a huge honor for his play in the G League.
Playing for the Indiana Mad Ants, Tshiebwe had a fantastic season. He averaged 16 points and 16 rebounds per game and shot nearly 58% from the field.
A BIG season from Big O!

One of the most popular players in recent Wildcats history, Tshiebwe dominated in two seasons in Lexington. His best season came in the 2021 – 22 season, when he posted 17.4 points and 15.1 rebounds per game. He was named the National Player of the Year after the season.
The Mad Ants are the affiliate of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, and Tshiebwe would love to join them on a full time basis soon. Only time will tell if that will happen next season, but he has managed to prove he can play at the next level of basketball. Kentucky fans will continue to root for his success, wherever he plays.
