Former Washington C Parker Brailsford named preseason First Team All-American

Former Washington center Parker Brailsford earned some big honors ahead of his first SEC campaign.

Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies could really use an All-American along their offensive line ahead of the team’s first season in the Big Ten. If center Parker Brailsford stuck around, offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll would’ve had a first-teamer to work with.

On Monday, Pro Football Focus released its preseason All-America teams and named Brailsford to the first team, recognizing him for his exceptional 2023 season with the Huskies, where he helped lead Washington’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line.

Following Kalen DeBoer’s departure for Alabama, Brailsford opted to enter the transfer portal and follow both his head coach and offensive line coach, Scott Huff, to Tuscaloosa. After Huff decided to take the same position with the Seattle Seahawks before his stint with the Crimson Tide could really begin, Brailsford chose to stick it out with the three other Huskies who followed DeBoer.

The former three-star recruit from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, isn’t the only preseason All-American along DeBoer’s new offensive line either, as he’s flanked by left guard Tyler Booker both in Tuscaloosa and on PFF’s First Team All-America.
