Former Warrior JaVale McGee exits Game 2 vs. Bucks early with left ankle injury

In the Los Angeles Lakers game two playoff tilt with the Houston Rockets, former Golden State Warrior JaVale McGee was ruled out in the third quarter with left ankle pain.

While the Golden State Warriors are busy preparing for the NBA Draft, eight teams are battling to advance to the Conference Finals inside the Orlando Bubble. With no hoops on the schedule in the Bay Area, Warriors Wire is checking in with former members of the Dubs at Disney World.

On Sunday, a former big man for the Golden State Warriors suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers. In game two against the Houston Rockets, JaVale McGee got the nod at the starting center position alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

McGee logged eight minutes against the Houston Rockets before exiting the game with left ankle pain in the third quarter. During his time on the floor, McGee went 0-of-1 from the field with two rebounds and a block.

According to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet and Lakers.com, McGee will be listed as questionable for game three against Houston.

Behind a pair of double-doubles from James and Davis, the Lakers were able to even the series 1-1 with a win over Houston in game two, 117-109. Davis led the Lakers in scoring with 34 points on 15-of-24 shooting from the field with 10 rebounds, four assists and a block. James added 28 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists, four steals and two blocks.
