Grant Williams played 33 minutes off the bench for the Celtics. He had 14 points, three rebounds, three blocks and one assist.
Williams was 5-for-8 from the floor and 4-for-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Boston awaits the winner of the Chicago-Milwaukee series.
In Philadelphia, the No. 4 76ers lost to fifth-seeded Toronto, 103-88, at Wells Fargo Center.
Tobias Harris started at forward for Philadelphia and played 44 minutes.
He had 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the 76ers, who have lost two consecutive games after opening a 3-0 lead in the series.
Harris was 6-for-16 from the field, 2-for-7 from long range and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
