Two former University of Tennessee basketball players played in NBA games Wednesday. Three more were inactive for their respective teams.
At Amway Center in Orlando, Boston defeated the Magic, 92-87.
Both Grant Williams and Josh Richardson appeared off the bench for the Celtics.
Williams played seven minutes and totaled one point and one rebound. He was 0-for-1 from the field and his lone field goal attempt came from beyond the 3-point arc. Williams went 1-for-2 from the free throw line.
Richardson logged 18 minutes, recording three points, six rebounds, two assists, one steals and one block. He was 1-for-3 from the field, 0-for-2 in three point attempts and 1-for-2 from the foul line.
In Memphis, the Grizzlies defeated Denver, 108-106. Yves Pons was inactive.
In Philadelphia, both Tobias Harris and Jaden Springer were inactive in the 76ers’, 103-98, victory over Chicago.
