One former University of Tennessee basketball player was in action Tuesday night, making a significant contribution in a late-season road win for his team.
Former Volunteer Josh Richardson scored 17 points to help lead Dallas to a 127-113 victory over the Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.
Richardson started and played 23 minutes for the Mavericks (37-28). He also had one rebound and one assist against the Heat, his former team.
The former Vol went 6-for-11 from the floor and was 3-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc. He made both of his free throw attempts.
With the loss, Miami dropped to 35-31.
Richardson was drafted by the Heat in 2015 and played in Miami between 2015-19.
He played for the Philadelphia 76ers last season before being traded to Dallas.
