One former University of Tennessee basketball player was in action Sunday as the playoffs continued and he led his team to victory in its postseason opener.
Former Volunteer Tobias Harris led Philadelphia, the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, to a 125-118 victory over No. 8 Washington Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center.
Harris was the 76ers’ leading scorer as he had 37 points in 37 minutes of time on the floor.
He had one of his best shooting performances this year as he went 15-for-29 from the floor and knocked down two of his five 3-point attempts.
The former Vol was also a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Harris had six rebounds, two assists and two steals against the Wizards.
