A pair of former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Monday night.
Both started as their teams posted mixed results on the hardwood.
In Oklahoma City, Dallas defeated the Thunder, 127-106, at Chesapeake Energy Center.
Josh Richardson scored nine points for the Mavericks (24-21).
He started and played 25 minutes and dished out five assists and pulled down three rebounds. Richardson went 4-for-7 from the floor and 1-for-2 from beyond the 3-point arc.
With the loss, Oklahoma City dropped to 19-27.
In Boston, Grant Williams started his second consecutive game for the Celtics (23-24).
He scored three points and grabbed five rebounds in Boston’s 115-109 loss to New Orleans.
Williams had one assist and went 1-4 in 23 minutes. All of his shots came from 3-point range.
With the win, New Orleans improves to 21-25.
