A pair of former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Friday night as their respective teams posted mixed results.
In Milwaukee, Grant Williams scored seven points and pulled down four rebounds in Boston’s, 122-114, victory over the Bucks at Fiserv Forum.
The former Volunteer also dished out three assists, recorded one steal and one blocked shot for the Celtics (22-23).
Williams played 31 minutes and went 3-for-3 from the floor and made his lone field goal attempt against Milwaukee (29-15). He was 0-for-1 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile in Dallas, Josh Richardson scored 11 points in the Mavericks’ 109-94 loss to Indiana at American Airlines Center.
Richardson started and played 36 minutes for Dallas (23-20) against the Pacers (21-23). He had four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Richardson struggled offensively as he went 4-for-14 from the field and 2-for-7 from beyond the 3-point arc. He was also 1-for-2 from the foul line.
