Two former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Wednesday night. Their respective teams saw mixed results.
In Minnesota, Dallas defeated the Timberwolves 128-108 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Josh Richardson scored 10 points for the Mavericks (23-19).
Richardson started and played 31 minutes against Minnesota (10-34). He pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists for the Mavericks, who overcame a 33-30 first-quarter deficit and scored 72 points after halftime.
He went 3-for-6 from the floor and 2-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc. Richardson was also 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile in Milwaukee, Boston’s Grant Williams scored five points and grabbed five rebounds in his team’s 121-119 loss to the Bucks at Fiserv Forum.
Williams logged 19 minutes for the Celtics (21-23). He had three steals and one assist.
The former Vol was 2-for-4 from the field and knocked down one 3-pointer against the Bucks (29-14).
