Two former University of Tennessee basketball players competed in the NBA Friday. Two others were inactive and another did not play due to a coach’s decision.
In Philadelphia, the 76ers defeated Dallas, 111-101, at Wells Fargo Center.
Tobias Harris started at forward and played 29 minutes for Philadelphia. He had 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Harris was 6-for-9 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the 3-point arc.
In Sacramento, Boston defeated the Kings, 126-97, at Golden 1 Center.
Grant Williams played 29 minutes for the Celtics. He had seven points, three rebounds and three assists.
Williams was 2-for-6 from the floor, 2-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc and 1-for-2 from the free throw line.
In Brooklyn the Nets defeated Portland, 128-123, at Barclays Center. Rookie Keon Johnson did not play due to a coach’s decision.
In San Antonio, New Orleans downed the Spurs, 124-91, at AT&T Center.
Josh Richardson, who started five of the last six contests for San Antonio, was inactive, missing the game against the Pelicans due to left calf soreness.
In Atlanta, Yves Pons was inactive for Memphis in its 120-105 loss to the Hawks at State Farm Arena.
