Former Vols in the NBA: March 17 recap

Recapping how former Vols fared in the NBA Wednesday.

Three former University of Tennessee basketball players were action in the NBA Wednesday night.

Two saw their teams lose, while Josh Richardson helped Dallas notch an easy victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Richardson scored 14 points and pulled down five rebounds to help lift the Mavericks to a 105-89 victory over Los Angeles at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The former Volunteer also had three steals, two assists and one block for the Mavericks (21-18).

Richardson started and played 39 minutes against the Clippers (26-16). He went 5-for-9 from the floor and 2-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc. The former Vol went 2-for-2 from the free throw line.

Meanwhile in Cleveland, the Cavaliers outlasted Boston, 117-110, at Quicken Loans Arena.

Former Vol Grant Williams scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Celtics (20-20).

Williams played 22 minutes and went 1-for-6 from the field and missed his lone attempt from long range. He was 3-for-4 from the foul line against Cleveland (15-25).

In Philadelphia, the 76ers squandered a double-digit lead and dropped a 109-105 overtime decision to Milwaukee.

The Sixers (28-13) had a 45-31 advantage at halftime before the Bucks (26-14) stormed back to win in overtime.

Tobias Harris scored 19 points, but had a tough shooting night as he went 8-for-23 from the field.

Harris had nine rebounds and four assists. The former Vol was 1-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. He also had two steals and one block.
