Three former University of Tennessee basketball players competed in the NBA Tuesday. One did not play due to a coach’s decision and another was in active.
In Philadelphia, the 76ers defeated New Orleans, 117-107, at Wells Fargo Center.
Tobias Harris started and played 39 minutes for Philadelphia and he recorded a double-double, finishing with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Harris also had two assists, two blocks and one steal.
Rookie Jaden Springer did not play for the 76ers due to a coach’s decision.
Grant Williams and Josh Richardson both appeared off the bench for the Celtics in its 128-75 victory over New Orleans at TD Garden.
Williams played 23 minutes. He had eight points, three rebounds, three assists and one block
Richardson played 22 minutes and recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one block.
In Washington, the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Wizards, 116-115. Rookie Keon Johnson was inactive for the Clippers.
