Two former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Monday night.
Their respective teams had mixed results on the hardwood.
In Chicago, the Boston Celtics nabbed a 119-104 victory over the Bulls.
Power forward Grant Williams played 10 minutes in the contest off the bench. He scored eight points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out an assist for the Celtics, who improved to 10-6 on the season.
In Detroit, the Pistons downed the Philadelphia 76ers 119-104.
Tobias Harris led Philadelphia (12-6) with 25 points. He also had seven rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes of action.
In Orlando, the Magic edged Charlotte, 117-108, but former Volunteers’ guard Jordan Bone did not play.
In Dallas, the Mavericks dropped a 117-113 decision to Denver. Former Vol Josh Richardson, however, missed his ninth consecutive game due to the league’s COVID-19 protocols.
